Report from Ze san from Afghanistan(2009A)
On the year of 2011-2012, I established 34 LIPGs in 5 province of Afghanistan, Kabul, Samangan, Baghlan, Laghman and Samangan.
We have 2 groups of Beekeeping in Kabul districts (Estalif and Guldara), 2 groups of cucumber in Dah Sabz of Kabul and Doshi Districts of Baghlan.
One fishery group in char asyab district of Kabul Province, 17 pultry groups in all five province and 12 vegetable and fruit process total direct beneficiaries 680 women and un direct beneficiaries 4760 people.
Out of 17 districts the beekeeping was the most useful groups with sudden benefit without groups expenses, we distributed 2 can bee for each women within 2 months 2 can increased into 4-8, women has more benefit good income, the products not disturb.
But for vegetable and fruit process they need cold storage, or supermarkets, and emphasis for marketing. This is Afghanistan we have problem of budget to support groups for long term.
So just I am wondering to can intervene LIPG to support farther.
